Dear St. Raphael School Families and Friends,
On Saturday, our 2nd graders made their First Holy Communion. Watching the little ones all dressed up and eager to receive Jesus for the first time in the Eucharist was heartwarming. Parents, grandparents, friends and family were all in the church to celebrate this special moment. We want to thank Ms. Epley and Mrs. Froelicher for the time and dedication in preparing these children for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. We also want to thank Monsignor Jon for his time in making First Communion memorable for everyone while reminding us that every time we go to Mass and receive Eucharist that it is special because we receive Our Lord and Savior and He is part of us.
Our Jog-a-Thon is this Friday! The kids will be running, running, running for our school. Please make sure that your child comes to school after having a healthy breakfast. Our preschoolers will start the morning by running at 9:15 am! The KinderKlasse and Kindergarten students will run from 9:30 – 9:50 am. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders will run from 9:55 – 10:25 am. The 4th and 5th graders will have their time on the field from 10:30 – 11:00 am followed by our 6th - 8th graders running from 11:05 – 11:35 am.
We want to thank our sponsors for the Jog-a-Thon this year. Be on the lookout for their logos in the e-newsletter. Please support our goal of having each child raise $150. Asking neighbors, friends and family for a $5 to $10 donation can add up quickly! Let’s see if we can beat our goal of $31,000 this year!

Prayer for First Communion
O Jesus, who hast loved us with such exceeding great love as to give us the ineffable gift of the Holy Eucharist, inflame us with a burning zeal to promote Thy glory by preparing worthily the little children who are to approach Thy holy table for the first time. Protect, O Sacred Heart of Jesus, these young souls from the assaults of evil, strengthen their faith, increase their love and endow them with all the virtues that will make them worthy to receive Thee. Amen.
St. Raphael, Pray for Us!
