Dear St. Raphael School Families and Friends,
We remembered the 20th anniversary of 9/11 this past weekend, a day that changed the world as we knew it. Let us always remember our brothers and sisters who were heroes and lost their lives on that horrific day, and be grateful for the local fire, police, medical workers, and our military who heroically rescued many people. We are thankful for our first responders as well as this great country. God Bless America!
We are kicking off our Annual Fund this week! Our goal is to bring in $40,000 to support our extra programs that make St. Raphael School so special. Please prayerfully consider making your donation during our kick-off! You will find a prize sheet in your child’s Tuesday folder! Together, we can do this!
As we continue through the first weeks of school, many of our wonderful programs gradually get started. Our fifth graders attended the Wilderness Youth Program. They are currently learning how to bike in a pack so they can bike to nature in the upcoming weeks. This week we start our physical education program, the garden program, and K-2ndwill begin their dance lessons. We have a very active school with kids very engaged in their learning!
Our first school Mass is on Thursday, September 23rd at 10:45 am. Monsignor Jon will welcome the entire school community to another great school year and give a special blessing to our Student Council. Please mark your calendars to join us as we celebrate!
Next Monday, we have our first Jeans for Jesus day. Students can wear jeans with any St. Raphael School shirt if they bring in $1 for a local charity. It’s a wonderful way to dress down a little while supporting our brothers and sisters in need.
September 14: PE Begins
September 20: Jeans for Jesus
September 23: School Mass at 10:45 am
September 29: Feast Day of St. Raphael
In Mary’s Love,
Ms. Michelle Limb, Principal
Please pray this prayer with your child/ren this week as we prepare for the Feast Day of St. Raphael:
St. Raphael, of the glorious seven who stand before the throne of Him who lives and reigns, Angel of health, the Lord has filled your hand with balm from heaven to soothe or cure our pains. Heal or cure the victim of disease and guide our steps when doubtful of our ways. Amen.
St. Raphael, Pray for Us!
